Yep...that's right. Zach from Saved by the Bell just showed up on Happy Endings! So excited...I watch anything he does:)
Well, it's January 16 and I still haven't missed a day in the 30 day Shred! I'm pretty proud of myself and I've gained some muscle for sure. Also, I'm down 4.0 pounds this week so far. Still haven't had soda or fast food Sunday - Thursdays.

Level 2...Day 1...Oh my gosh!!
Today I got up and did the first day of Level 2 of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.
I've been doing ok with Level 1, but after 10 days you are supposed to move onto Level 2. Holy Goodness...Level 2 is hard! I struggled through the plank exercises and had to take some breaks, but I did it. Then, I went outside and took advantage of this 60 degree weather in January. I went for a 20 minute walk/run.
I'm feeling pretty good with this exercising thing. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for doing it straight for 10 days.
The rest of the weekend is pretty low key, but I might be going to see Les Mis tonight finally! I'm also singing at church tonight too. I'm pretty excited to be singing for the first time at Simple Church tonight.

Who knew...
I actually came home from Girls' Night Out and did my exercise at 10:00 pm. That is shocking! I just had to document it because it is sooo uncharacteristic of me! I'm on Day 9! I'm proud of myself!

Can I do it this time?
2013...where does the time go?
Just wanted to update this thing and see if I can keep it going.
I've started Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and I've done it for 5 days in a row now! Go me. It's really hard, but I'm getting better every day.
I've planned my menu for this week and I'm going to be making some salmon and some chicken. Hopefully, I can link to the recipes and put up some pictures.
I'm going to try to post like once a week this year...we'll see.
Current addictions: Felicity and Arrested Development on Netflix...uh oh. I'm zooming through the seasons. Who will she choose...Noel or Ben! I have to just keep watching!

What a Weekend!!
This weekend was absolutely amazing. I needed a weekend like that. And...I love that I have today off to get myself together for the week. Let's recap!
Friday night after work, I met up with my friends Christina and LeRoy to shoot a promotional video for The Exchange at church. It was good times and look for the link to the video coming soon. While shooting the video, Christina and I decided to see Beauty and the Beast 3D with Hannah. This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE movie and I enjoyed it even more in 3D.
Saturday, Beth came into town for my best friend's wedding shower. It was so great to see Julie and celebrate with her. I got my bridesmaid dress at the shower and now the fun comes in trying to figure out how to wear it. It's one of those twist wrap dresses so you can wear it like a ton of different ways.
Saturday night, Emily and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Broncos/Patriots game. Sad that the Broncos lost, but I ran into an old friend. So not all bad.
Yesterday was pretty lazy. I went to church, got a run/walk in, and planned my menu and grocery list for the week. I'm pretty proud of myself with my run/walk. I did a run 1 minute, walk 1 1/2 minute split for 20 minutes on the treadmill. I hope today I can try a 1 minute, 1: 15 minute walk split. We shall try.
I stepped on the scale today and I'm down another 3.5 pounds!!!! I'm so excited. It seems like this planning out meals, no soda, working out thing is working so far for me. It's not like I've given everything up either. I've had a soda and some fast food this week. I never want to deprive myself of anything. Hopefully I can keep it up this week.

Hump Day!
Thank Goodness it is Wednesday! I'm ready for the weekend and it's a four day weekend. Love! Also, they are calling for snow tonight for the first time...should be an interesting commute tomorrow.
I have still not had a soda or fast food since January 1st. That's quite an accomplishment for this girl. I'm doing pretty well on my run/walk goals as well. Tonight I ran/walk with a co-worker outside. It's been beautiful outside, but not for long.

Back to the Grind
Went back to work today after an amazing break off. Luckily we just had professional development today and the kids will come back tomorrow. I have good ideas in my head for this semester, but we will see what I come up with.
For breakfast, I had a bowl of cheerios and a banana at about 10:00 am. I was also able to try out my new coffeemaker I got from my brother and sister-in-law for Christmas. I was able to program it the night before and used this amazing English Toffee coffee I got from Emily. It was a great start to the day considering I gave up soda...or at least once a week:)
Lunch was a meet-up with co-workers for a pizza buffet. Not the healthiest, but delicious.
Got out of the training a little earlier and was able to get a run/walk in. I started on the treadmill at the fitness center with a walk 2 minute/run 1 minute; however, the treadmill quit at minute 6. So I finished the workout outside around the apartment complex. I couldn't time it, but I split up the laps with running and walking. So, I think I started out ok!
